Seeing Cincinnati Adventure

On Thursday November 5, 2015 all the 9th graders headed out on a Downtown adventure. We got to see the Jacob Lawrence series on Toussaint L'Overture. Students got to marvel at the 41 paintings while we pondered our enduring question: What is Freedom and what are people willing to do to get it? We rode up above the city to the Carew Tower Observation Deck, walked the streets checking out public art work, and visited Smale & Lytle Parks. Delightful adventure for sure!!

Imperialism's Greatest Hits CD Case Cover

As part of our study of the Age of European Imperialism, students were asked to create a CD cover and liner notes for a compilation called Imperialism's Greatest Hits. Students needed to make a cover, ten song titles with band names and the lyrics to one of the  songs on their CD. These are some of the case covers and music selctions.

 The very first assignment of the year was to read the scope and sequence of the Modern World History course and create a collage that reflects what we will be studying this year. Below is a sample of some of the collages.
